The team had just endured a very tough year in the A league, so the coach had planned a few friendlies and Tournaments for the lads to join.
Manager Will Allen had this to say on the day:
So incredibly proud of my U12 boys today winning the Young Dons tournament, after what’s been a very hard season in the A league for us I was filled with such pride to see my team battle every second of every game, winning both the semis and final on penalties all players showed incredible strength of character and commitment, the day was topped off with birthday boy Finley Espin lifting the trophy, I don’t think my nerves could handle another penalty shootout though!
